I'm MOVING to Tennessee!!

About a year ago I was doing a clinic at the home of my good friend Lauren Gruber. She'd announced that she and her husband had purchased 60 gorgeous acres in East Tennessee and would be moving before the start of the next hurricane season. It was then that the wheels started to turn in my own mind.

It took several months to convince my husband that this move would be in both of our best interests but in time we came to agree on the plan. In our dreams we'd be in Tennessee before snow fall here in Massachusetts.

On May 30 Lauren, her family, 8 horses, 2 dogs and a cat arrived at their new home in Greeneville, TN.

On September 1, 2006 our house went on the market.

On October 15 my horses, Tulsa and Danke, left for their new home on Lauren's farm.

Here they are. Yes those little dots are them!! They are looking and feeling great!

We decided that if the horses went on ahead we could save the $1400/mth in board they cost us. We could then get our affairs in order here and be ready to roll as soon as our house sold.

I miss them a lot but I feel good about them being there and about that meaning we are on our way.

BUT

Hmm. Now we WAIT. The market is pretty slow right now. When it comes to horse training I have all the patience in the world. But to just wait--doing nothing--knowing there is nothing TO do BUT wait--is killing me! I keep packing what I can live without in the effort to keep moving toward the goal. But it is difficult.
